Job description

Cypress Tree Care is a leader in providing holistic tree care services, focusing on pest management and comprehensive tree management plans. We are seeking a motivated and reliable Tree Work Grounds Member to join our team. This role involves supporting arborists in various tasks, such as collecting and piling branches, maintaining tools and equipment, and ensuring safe work areas. Join us to be part of a team that values quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.Responsibilities
  • Assist tree climber or aerial lift operator with tree care operations
  • Load and unload trucks with logs, brush, and debris often weighing 50 lbs. or more
  • Feed brush and smaller logs into the brush chipper
  • Use rigging lines and ropes to securely lower limbs and logs
  • Utilize specialized lowering devices to assist in the controlled lowering of limbs and logs
  • Send tools and other items up to the climber or aerial lift operator using ropes
  • Keep the work area clean and orderly
  • Prepare tools, saws, and other equipment for assigned job tasks
  • Perform work from the ground using handsaws, pole saws, and other hand tools
  • Drive trucks or operate other equipment as assigned
  • Service trucks and equipment and perform basic preventative maintenance
  • Report the need for repairs to trucks and equipment to the crew leader
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Ability to communicate well with supervisors and co-workers
  • Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment
  • Willingness to observe all safety precautions
  • Ability to respond to instruction and acquire skills quickly through on-the-job training
  • Capability to perform heavy manual work for an extended period, under all weather conditions
  • Understanding and following oral and written instructions
  • Valid Driver’s license with CDL or ability to obtain CDL
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening
Hours of Employment

Daily hours are from Monday through Thursday, 6:30 am to 5 pm. Working hours lost due to weather conditions may be made up on Friday.
