Ignite Your Curiosity in the Lab: Become Part of a Dynamic Diagnostic Team in a Scenic Lakeside Locale
Overview
We are on the lookout for a passionate Medical Lab Technician who balances inquisitiveness with accuracy-someone who aims to redefine patient healthcare through keen analytical skills and transformative diagnostics. In this full-time, firstshift opportunity at a lively community hospital nestled in a picturesque lakeside area, you will play a crucial role in providing meaningful diagnostic outcomes. You will collaborate with dedicated colleagues, supported by a comprehensive rewards package designed to nurture both your career and personal well-being.
Description - Your Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine and complex clinical laboratory tests-including chemistry, hematology, immunology, and more-adhering to established guidelines.
  • Evaluate results for precision, troubleshoot discrepancies, and perform necessary maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment.
  • Assist in specimen collection and prepare samples for analysis as required.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all procedures, train new team members or students, and contribute to upholding laboratory quality standards.
  • Ensure a clean, secure work area and comply with all regulatory and accreditation mandates.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree with ASCP/AMT certification preparation.
Certifications Required
  • ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be obtained within one year of hiring.
  • Maintain your certification throughout your employment.
Essential Skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective collaboration with healthcare teams.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and problem-solve in fast-paced or high-pressure environments.
  • Superior organizational capabilities and attention to detail, particularly in quality control and documentation.
Benefits We Offer
  • Attractive compensation based on experience and qualifications.
  • Comprehensive market-competitive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
  • Generous time-off policies starting on your first day, plus vacation/holiday time with credit for experienced hires.
  • Opportunities for continuing education and support for professional development.
  • A robust total rewards package focusing on your overall wellness.

Translating Data into Lives
In this role, your precise work under the microscope drives critical decisions made by doctors-which can significantly impact patient care. One test could validate a need for antibiotics, while another may detect metabolic issues before they escalate into health concerns. The accuracy you uphold is something healthcare providers and patients depend on in their daily lives.
Embracing a Team Culture
This position is more than just a job; it's about conceiving a community. Here, you will be a part of a collaborative team that prioritizes continuous growth and improvement. Frequent in-lab meetings, competency refreshers, and initiatives for better processes develop an environment where every voice is valued. You'll be encouraged to participate in committees, suggest enhancements, and mentor newcomers.
A Flourishing Community: Connecting Life with Lakes
Imagine a delightful lakeside community with tree-covered avenues that hug shimmering waters, bustling farmers markets overflowing with local produce, and an array of cultural festivals. Quaint cafés serve as vibrant community centers, where conversations meander from light-hearted banter to engaging discussions about local affairs. Your time off can be spent paddleboarding during dawn or soaking up melodies at a concert in the great outdoors. The residents here are down-to-earth, welcoming, and eager to support one another-qualities that strengthen the local healthcare network.
Explore charming boutiques, scenic trails, vibrant community theatres, and activities tailored to all passions-from bird watching to competitive triathlons. Commuting is simple, with swift access to public transport, and you will enjoy a quality of life that balances work and play, all while housing costs remain affordable. This means your salary goes further, enabling weekend trips to vineyards, cultural excursions, and making memories at local sporting events.
Making a Difference, Fostering Excellence
In this vibrant environment, every lab technician symbolizes a critical component of community health. You will witness the impact of your contributions-quickening diagnoses, ensuring safer treatments, creating happier patients, and achieving sustainable operations. An outpouring of appreciation from grateful patients underscores not just the role of your lab work but the broader significance of your contribution to timely healthcare.
Your Time to Elevate Your Impact
If you are seeking more than just a job, driven by a greater purpose, personal advancement, and community engagement, this is your calling. Whether you are fresh from certification or come with years of experience, you will find encouragement, challenge, and opportunity in equal measure here.
Are You Ready to Embark on Your Next Chapter?
Embrace a role where your attention to detail meets a community that values innovation and care-a setting where each lab report enriches the ongoing narratives of healing. If you're passionate about contributing your skills in a way that underscores precision, teamwork, and compassion, we are excited to hear from you.
