Job Overview
Land Surveying and Mapping company seeking a licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper. This is a full-time position.

Professional Surveyor and Mapper with expertise in all phases of Land Surveying including construction staking, grade calculations, boundary surveys, topographic and tree surveys, legal descriptions and sketches, easement drawings, right-of-way surveys, ALTA surveys, and as-built surveys. Competetive Salary commensurate with experience and potential ownership options.

Responsibilities

Assists in managing, directing and supervising the field survey crews and drafting personnel.

Assists with the research, planning, organizing and supervising of the daily job assignments.

Manage land surveying consultants including developing Scopes of Work, schedules, and deliverables, negotiating proposals, and reviewing documentation for Quality Assurance.

Responsible for quality control/quality assurance on all surveys / projects.

Provide internal professional consulting and configuration of surveys to ensure compliance with requirements.

Proven knowledge of the Standards of Practice per Chapter 5J-17 of the Florida Administrative Code and other regulations that apply to survey and mapping.

Assists in the training and instructing of the survey field crews and provides technical expertise.

Effective communication with all team members to ensure high team focus on project goals.

Ability to establish and maintain a positive and motivational relationship with all team members.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong team leadership abilities.

Skilled in the use of survey instruments and equipment including GPS RTK Rover and Base Operations and Robotic Instrument Operations.

Ability to use Auto CADD Civil 3D as well as other office related software.

Knows the practices and techniques used in boundary calculations and can make boundary decisions quickly and effectively.

Ability to prepare construction projects for the field survey crews (coordinates and grades).

Ability and desire to quickly learn new survey processes used to complete survey projects.
