Job Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments, conducting physical examinations and reviewing medical histories in detail
• Assist in evaluating and diagnosing surgical issues through careful interpretation of imaging and laboratory results
• Engage in close partnership with surgeons to formulate and implement personalized surgical treatment strategies
• Offer substantial intraoperative support by preparing operating rooms, ensuring the correct positioning of patients, and managing surgical instruments during operations
• Provide outstanding pre- and post-operative care, including medication management, wound care, discharge logistics, and patient education

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program is required
• Favorable consideration for completion of clinical rotations focused on surgery

Certifications

• Current and unrestricted PA-C (Physician Assistant-Certified) credential
• Must hold valid BLS and ACLS certifications
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant is necessary

Skills

• Solid understanding of surgical principles and sterile procedure adherence
• History of effectively interpreting diagnostic tests and contributing insights to complex clinical decisions
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
