Grow With US! Joshua Tree Experts, NE Atlanta's premier team of tree care professionals, is searching for an experienced Tree Care Groundsman

The Groundsman works alongside a 2 to 4-person tree crew assisting in tree removal, tree pruning, stump grinding and wood chipper operations. He/she is responsible for all communication with crew members and the public while climbers are aloft in trees or aerial lift trucks.

We believe our future is only as bright as the talent of our employees. Joshua Tree Experts is dedicated to expanding our employees' knowledge and offer paid training to all Tree Care Specialists for class room work, seminars, certification testing and all certification related expenses.

What a Tree Care Groundsman does:

  • Assist crew with equipment and vehicle preparation daily
  • Ensure that drop zones are safe for coworkers and public
  • Perform pruning and reducing
  • Safely use tree care operations equipment included but not limited to gas powered saws, pole saws/clips, and chippers
  • Load and unload trucks and chippers with logs, brush and debris
  • Reports to work on time each day
  • Follow directions from crew leaders and climbers
  • Maintain professional image
  • Provide friendly and excellent customer service
  • Maintain and service equipment, as needed
  • Follows safety culture and safety procedures
  • Set up safety and traffic control measures for job sites

What do you need to be a Tree Care Groundsman:

  • Minimum of two year experience in Tree Care Operations
  • Valid driver's license
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Ability to work 40 hours or more each week
  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
  • Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions
  • Excellent ability to communicate effectively
