EXPERIENCE TREE CLIMBER WANTED - The Tree Climber plays a critical role in performing high-risk climbing tasks within varied environments to safely manage and maintain trees. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this position works primarily in small teams of 2-5 members, employing specialized climbing gear and techniques to prune, remove, and assess trees while ensuring safety and efficient site management.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tree climbing and pruning using appropriate gear and techniques
  • Handle and maintain climbing and cutting equipment including chainsaws
  • Monitor safety protocols and assess hazards during tree care activities
  • Respond promptly to emergencies in climbing operations
  • Coordinate with team members for efficient task completion
  • Clean up the site post-tree maintenance or removal
  • Conduct equipment inspections and maintain tools to ensure operational readiness
  • Assist in tree removal operations as required

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in arboriculture

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in tree climbing techniques and use of climbing equipment
  • Proficiency in chainsaw operation and proper cutting techniques
  • Strong adherence to safety compliance standards
  • Excellent physical stamina suitable for demanding climbing work
