Job description

We are looking for an experienced maintenance technician to join our Team in South Pittsburg, TN. The maintenance technician will be responsible for performing duties to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production equipment, building facilities and grounds. This includes but is not limited to processing and packaging equipment.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Ensures operation of plant machinery utilizing both electrical and mechanical skills to troubleshoot equipment

· Completes preventive/predicative maintenance procedures

· Ensure duties of the position are performed in a safe, efficient and effective manner

· Controls downtime by completing needed repairs and part replacements in a timely fashion

· Provides mechanical maintenance information by informing production workers of routine techniques, answering questions, and responding to requests

· Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations

· Contributes to team effort by performing other duties as assigned and needed.

Requirements:

· Able to effectively communicate with all levels of management and staff

· Minimum 1-4 years related maintenance experience

· Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, AC drives, VFDs and PLCs

· Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills

· Valid state driver’s license

· Able to work overtime and weekends as needed

· Basic math and computer skills

Preferred Skills:

· Five + years related maintenance experience

· Broad knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, AC drives, VFDs and PLCs

· Proficient electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills

· Knowledge of PLC programming

Physical Requirements:

· Able to lift in excess of 40 pounds daily

· Able to tolerate extreme temperatures

· Able to operate variety of hand and power tools on a frequent, daily basis

· Able to occasionally climb, crouch, kneel and crawl to service variety of equipment
