What does a treasury systems analyst do?

A Treasury Systems Analyst is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the software and technology systems used by a company's treasury department. Their work involves analyzing business requirements, implementing and configuring treasury management systems, ensuring data integrity, and supporting day-to-day operations related to cash management, payments, and financial risk. They also troubleshoot system issues, provide user training, and collaborate with IT and finance teams to improve processes. The goal is to ensure efficient, secure, and compliant treasury operations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a treasury systems analyst?

A Treasury Systems Analyst should possess strong analytical skills, a background in finance or accounting, and relevant experience with treasury operations or systems. These competencies ensure accurate financial analysis, smooth system integration, and strong collaboration across teams, all of which are crucial for effective treasury management.
