The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Treasury Analyst to join the North America Group Treasury Operations team
in Atlanta, GA. This middle-office role focuses on intercompany loans, bank account and signatory
administration, compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and internal controls, and supporting payment
approval workflows. This role reports to the Senior Director of Treasury Operations.
How you will impact Smurfit Westrock
  • Intercompany Loan Management: Manage North America intercompany loan activity using the
  • Company's Treasury Management System (Coupa Treasury) and legal entity platform (Global
  • Compliance Solutions), coordinating with Tax, Legal, Finance and Controllership.
  • Bank Account & Signatory Administration: Manage bank account lifecycle activities (opening,
  • maintenance, and closure), as well as authorized bank account signatories, database records,
  • and policy compliance.
  • Foreign Bank Account (FBAR) Reporting: Track foreign bank accounts and authorized
  • signatories to support annual FBAR FINCEN reporting in partnership with Tax.
  • Payment Review & Approval Support: Review payment requests across the Treasury
  • Management System and online banking platforms, ensuring proper authorization and control
  • requirements are met and support the North America Group Treasury shared mailbox.
  • Treasury Controls, Compliance & Governance: Support internal and external audits, providing
  • required documentation and explanations, and ensure that activities operate within SOX and
  • internal control frameworks.

What you need to succeed
  • 3+ years' experience in treasury operations, corporate finance or accounting in a multinational environment.
  • Experience in bank account management, intercompany loans, or treasury middle-office activities preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field, and/or a professional qualification (e.g. CTP, CFA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ACT or equivalent) preferred. Professional qualifications or candidates working towards them are an advantage.
  • Advanced Excel, strong analytical skills, familiarity with treasury systems and banking platforms, ability to work independently and collaboratively, strong attention to detail and strong organization and communication skills.
