Local travel in the Austin area is expected, as is the opportunity to make a lasting impact across the organization.

What Will I Do?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide visionary leadership for Horizon’s Treasury Management function—setting direction, driving growth, and leading a high‑performing team of relationship bankers, implementation specialists, and support staff.
  • Build and scale a best‑in‑class Treasury team by recruiting, developing, and retaining top talent, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
  • Champion cross‑functional collaboration across the organization—partnering with Lending, Deposit Operations, STRATA Trust, and other business lines to deliver integrated, seamless solutions and exceptional client experiences.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to key customers—deepening relationships, identifying tailored treasury solutions, and unlocking cross‑sell opportunities that deliver long‑term value.
  • Lead product strategy for Treasury Management services—representing the voice of the customer in internal discussions and helping shape the roadmap for evolving solutions.
  • Own the growth strategy for Treasury Management—developing and executing plans to expand market share, grow fee income, and strengthen Horizon’s competitive positioning.
  • Guide complex sales efforts by crafting compelling value‑based proposals that clearly articulate the strategic impact of our Treasury offerings on client businesses.
  • Represent Horizon in the community—participating in industry forums and building strong market presence through proactive networking.
  • Leverage data and market insights to continuously improve Treasury offerings, identify emerging needs, and drive process and service enhancements.
  • Be a hands‑on leader—willing to roll up your sleeves and model the kind of teamwork, hustle, and problem‑solving we expect at every level.
  • Contribute to the broader success of Horizon by sharing insights, driving key initiatives, and stepping into special projects that benefit the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned and/or taken on.
Am I the Right Fit?

We are searching for professionals who have had proven success in their past careers, are self‑motivated, and have a great attitude to join our team.

Specific requirements include:

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of treasury experience; or the equivalent combination of education and experience, which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job duties of this position.
  • Successfully led and managed a treasury team including senior relationship bankers and treasury implementation and support.
  • Proven track record of developing future leaders of an organization.
  • Ability to contribute immediately to business development strategies and drive growth initiatives.
  • Positive, self‑motivated, and team‑oriented with a collaborative and proactive approach.
  • Strong decision‑making skills with the ability to lead change, support company growth, and embrace opportunities for personal and professional development.
Desired Qualifications
  • 8+ years of direct industry experience at a $2B+ bank.
  • 5+ years of management experience.
  • 4+ years in a treasury, cash management, or business development role.
  • CTP certification is a plus.
