Job description

Waste Connections is looking for a Treasury Manager to join our Corporate team in The Woodlands, TX.
Key Responsibilities / Areas of Accountability:
  • Manage the Company's cash positioning and short- and long-term cash forecasting processes.
  • Lead treasury activities including wires, investments, and banking transactions.
  • Manage corporate banking relationships and coordinate treasury services, account structures, and documentation.
  • Manage treasury function implementation for billing system conversions and acquisition integration.
  • Support treasury systems and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, controls, and reporting.
  • Prepare treasury-related month-end accounting entries and supporting schedules.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Accounting, Tax, FP&A, and Accounts Receivable/Payable.
  • Support financing activities, audit requests, and other strategic corporate initiatives.
  • Manage Corporate Accounts Receivable and Treasury team.
  • Other duties as requested by management.

Technical / Professional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 7+ years of progressive treasury experience within a corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cash management, liquidity forecasting, debt administration, and banking products.
  • Experience managing banking relationships and supporting treasury strategy initiatives.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • CTP certification preferred.
