Job description

What you will do:

The Treasury and Intelligent Process Automation Associate is responsible for the preparation of bank reconciliations, supporting analysis schedules, and other reports as required by Finance, Treasury and other departments while incorporating the use of robotic process automation to make processes more efficient. The Associate also works with Guest Services to process refunds, credit card payments, and resolve chargeback claims.

This is a hybrid position (3 days in the office per week). Office location is 1303 Yonge Street, Toronto. #LI-CP#LI-Hybrid

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of bank reconciliations, month-end journals and analysis of various account balances. Communicate with internal functional teams to resolve any unexplained variances and discrepancies.

  • Process Home Office credit card payments, refunds, retrieval requests and chargebacks on a daily basis. Work with the Guest Services department to resolve disputed credit card payments

  • Analyze and prepare financial reporting results for internal stakeholders relating to interest income, service charges, bank transfers, and other banking transactions.

  • Completion of Home Office bank deposits and cheques received at the Home Office location. Also be responsible for picking up any mail / correspondence from the bank.

  • Provide support to other Treasury members; including but not limited to: updating the cash reports to reflect bank accounts activities and to provide a daily cash position, filing of banking documents, running ad-hoc reports, preparing annual Treasury related budgets.

  • Identify potential improvements to current cash management and treasury processes and build automation flows using RPA tools and implementation changes. Assist RPA Center of Excellence with ad-hoc requests

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
  • 1+ years of relevant work experience
  • Professional designation (CFA, CPA, CTP) or working towards one is preferred
  • Experience with PeopleSoft is an asset
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel with demonstrated modeling skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration at various levels across the organization, as well as with external partner organizations.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, specifically with Treasury/Cash Management modules and preferably with Oracle Peoplesoft
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Automate is an asset
  • Understanding of programming concepts is an asset
