U.S. Water Services Corporation, a well-established and diverse water and wastewater utility operations, maintenance, engineering, and construction services corporation, has an opening for a full-time Assembly Technician in Tampa, FL. U.S. Water is a fast paced and rapidly expanding company headquartered in New Port Richey, Florida with a current staff of over 950 employees in twenty states.PurposeThe Inventory Manager owns the accuracy, integrity, and control of inventory across the organization's operating units. The role reports centrally but is seconded out: the person provides inventory services to whichever business units need support and carries an audit and assurance responsibility to confirm that each unit meets minimum inventory-control standards.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure all inventory items are barcoded and bin (location) coded.Own the inventory database setup, including all values set on each part.Maintain and update all pricing in UBM.Maintain and update vendor pricing.Monitor and adjust MIN/MAX values to keep stock levels appropriate.Ensure inventories and cycle counts are completed correctly and on schedule.Maintain and update inventory item details in UBM.Manage the purchasing process, including creating and processing purchase orders and creating stock orders.Train personnel on warehouse and inventory practices and on the use of UBM for inventory and purchasing.Carry out all of the above in coordination with the relevant territory, so decisions such as MIN/MAX settings, part values, and item detail updates meet that territory's needs.Location and CoverageThis position is based in the Tampa area. The Inventory Manager provides on-site coverage for TSC, EMMI, SEP Tampa, and CPC Tampa.The role also supports CPC Jacksonville and SEP Pompano Beach. That support is provided remotely, with periodic travel to those locations to assist on site and to carry out audit work.Audit and AssuranceIndependently of day-to-day inventory work, the Inventory Manager verifies that supported units comply with minimum inventory-control standards: items are barcoded, inventory is located to bins, the unit has the ability to cycle count, and cycle counts are actually being performed.Qualifications and ExperienceProposed starting point - adjust to your requirements.Prior experience in inventory, warehouse, or stockroom management.Familiarity with inventory/ERP systems and barcode-based location tracking.Working knowledge of cycle-count and physical-inventory methods.Purchasing or procurement experience.Strong attention to detail and comfort working across multiple sites and units.Compensation and Benefits: Pay is commensurate with experience and market-reflective.
