JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective
The Warehouse Associate will fulfill and process orders, accept incoming shipments, and oversee the general organization of the Warehouse.

Essential Functions

  • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items.
  • Prepares orders by pulling materials and packing job kits.
  • Communicates to Supply Chain Management & entire VanTran Team regarding the accuracy and completeness of job kits.
  • Unloads merchandise from delivery trucks and checks to ensure that materials match delivery documents (Bill of Lading, Shipping Invoice, and/or Delivery Note) in accordance with VanTran procedure.
  • Verifies that received goods are intact and reports any defects.
  • Ensures all received goods are received in ERP system and put away immediately.
  • Ensures the highest level of 5S is applied to all Warehouse areas.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Performs inventory controls and maintains high quality standards for audits.
  • Assists Inventory Specialist in weekly cycle counts as needed.

Supervisory Responsibility

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, with rotating schedules (4:00AM-12:30PM, 6:00AM-2:30PM, and 8:00AM-4:30PM). However, depending on workload there may be occasional longer days and occasional weekends as needed.

Travel
Travel is not required for this position.

Education and Experience

  • Relevant Warehouse experience within the past 5 years.
  • Proficient with inventory control systems.
  • Must be computer literate and able to easily learn ERP systems.
  • Experience in Manufacturing Industry.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to complete various activities in the warehouse that may require hours of lifting, standing, and carrying.
  • Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds at a time.
  • Must wear safety gear, such as goggles and gloves, when handling box cutters or similar tools.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must be authorized to work lawfully in the US.
