Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist for an Emergency Department setting requiring 2+ years of experience and ARDMS certification.

Details
  • Work in an Emergency Department setting performing a wide variety of ultrasound scans
  • Patient population includes adult, pediatric, obstetric, and portable/bedside imaging needs across ED, ICU, and NICU
  • Perform general ultrasound studies including abdominal aorta, appendix, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, and spleen
  • Perform OB/GYN studies including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester scans, amniotic fluid index, fetal anatomical survey, and placenta previa
  • Perform renal/pelvis studies including bladder, hernia, ovaries, renal/bladder, uterus, and vaginal ultrasounds
  • Perform vascular studies including lower and upper extremity venous and DVT studies of arms and legs
  • Perform small parts imaging including superficial masses, testicles/scrotum, and thyroid
  • Uses PACS system along with Philips and Siemens ultrasound equipment
  • Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, Friday through Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Cerner charting experience preferred
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
  • ARDMS certification and BLS required
  • License required if applicable
  • Experience with isolation precautions and PPE protocols
  • Experience performing head ultrasound studies in NICU preferred
Additional Information
  • Perform a wide variety of diagnostic ultrasound scans across multiple specialties including general, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts imaging
  • Facility conducts its own mandatory drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with a positive result resulting in automatic cancellation
  • Candidates should avoid CBD products or anything that could result in a positive drug screen prior to arrival onsite
  • Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered, as local candidates are not accepted
  • First-time travelers will be considered for this position
