Job Summary
Provides continuous surveillance of cardiac telemetry monitors to identify and report significant changes in cardiac rhythms. Supports patient safety and clinical communication in centralized monitoring environments.
Essential Functions
  • Continuously observe and interpret cardiac rhythms from telemetry monitors.
  • Record rhythm strips at designated intervals and notify nursing staff of changes.
  • Maintain monitor station cleanliness and function; report equipment issues.
  • Document rhythm interpretations and maintain accurate logbooks.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with unit nursing staff.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations
  • Ability to interpret dysrhythmias accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Able to multitask and respond calmly in emergencies.

Qualifications
Education
