Job description

Telemetry Monitor Technician

Shift times and shift length: 24hrs per week 6:30p-7a, 3-4 weekends shifts in a 6 wk period, weekends are Sat and Sunday night shift

Sign on Bonus: no sign on bonus

Covid Vaccine Requirement: No

General Duties: Under general supervision monitors cardiac rhythms or patients in special care units via telemetry equipment. Performs related clerical duties such as answering routine questions, taking/relaying calls, etc.

Job Description

Telemetry Monitor Technician would be monitoring all patients on telemetry on 2 1⁄2 units within the Heart Hospital at Edward Hospital – all the 2nd floor, 1⁄2 of 3rd floor, and all the 8th floor for a maximum of 70 patients (if every patient on the 2nd & 8th floor & 1⁄2 of 3rd floor were on telemetry). MTs will be a hybrid role where staff can work as a monitor tech or patient care tech.

Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required. Previous experience or telemetry certification

Preferred Qualifications: At least 3-6 months of previous healthcare/ monitor tech experience preferred.

License Required: n/a

Certificates Required: CPR from AHA or Red Cross required.
