The Respiratory Therapist RRT is responsible for performing all Respiratory Care procedures in the general and critical care settings.


Qualifications

Job Requirements:  

  • High School (or GED equivalent) diploma.
  • Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
  • Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

  • Current ACLS certification.
  • (RRT) Registered Respiratory Therapist verified through NBRC.
  • Assignment to the ER or Pedi must have current PALS.
  • Assignment to the NICU must have a current NRP.
