TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a travel job in Salt Lake City, Utah.

We are looking for Electrophysiology Technologists (EP Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Salt Lake City, UT. The right EP Tech should have 1 year of recent experience. Read below for more requirements.

As an EP Tech, you will be responsible for the use of the radiologic equipment and assisting the physicians with interventional and surgical procedures. EP Techs are also responsible for preparing and observing the patients undergoing the procedure and reporting abnormal activity.

Tasks

As an EP Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

  • Follow physicians' orders. The EP Tech assists physicians with cath lab procedures and contributes to cardiac diagnosis within scope of practice.
  • Demonstrate clinical expertise related to sterile technique, and all aspects of assisting physician in the role of the scrub person
  • Demonstrate ability to continuously monitor ECG for abnormalities and report emergent or urgent rhythms to physician operator and other team members
  • Monitor and record intracardiac and intravascular pressures
  • Establish and maintain ongoing communication with patient throughout the procedure to facilitate patient comfort, emotional support, reassurance, and safety
  • Demonstrate competency in arrhythmia identification, hemodynamic changes, and all interventional procedures
  • Document procedure thoroughly and accurately using lab-specific documentation system to include hemodynamic data, medication administration, device implants, patient physical assessment, procedural findings, and treatment plan
  • Practice radiation safety per protocol
  • Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ACLS, PALS if applicable, CCI National certification - RCES or RCIS, and state-specific licensing when required.

EP Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. EP Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
