Job description
The Interventional Radiology / Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist provides technical and clinical support for diagnostic and interventional procedures in both the Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Cath Lab environments. This role functions as a scrub and circulating technologist, operating imaging equipment, maintaining sterile technique, assisting physicians, managing supplies and equipment, and ensuring patient safety. The technologist is cross-trained and competent to independently function in both service lines, supporting operational flexibility, call coverage, and patient access.

Qualifications
Interventional Radiology Tech Job Requirements:
- Education Requirements: Associate degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Technology.
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required. State licensure as required.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, or invasive procedural setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of sterile technique and procedural workflows. Proficiency with fluoroscopy and radiation safety practices. Ability to function in high-acuity, fast-paced procedural environments. Strong critical thinking and situational awareness. Excellent teamwork, communication, and professionalism. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, wear lead, and move equipment and patients. High attention to detail and safety compliance. Flexibility to support fluctuating volume and service demands.
- License / Certification: BLS required. ACLS preferred or required within defined timeframe.
