Amergis Healthcare Staffing, Inc.-Allied is seeking a travel Endoscopy Technician for a travel job in Houston, Texas.

Job Description & Requirements

The Endoscopy Technician / Gastrointestinal Technician assists endoscopy nurses and physicians in the gastroenterology (GI) specialty.  The Endoscopy Technician / Gastrointestinal Technician assists patients who have stomach or intestine problems, or those who are undergoing diagnostic procedures and/or treatment for various GI related illnesses.

Minimum Requirements:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification  required per state/client contract
  • One year of experience preferred within medical assisting, surgical technology and/or GI
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice 
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
