Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a Home Health position requiring a valid driver's license and personal vehicle for in-home patient care.

Details
  • Home health setting providing in-home occupational therapy services
  • Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8am-4:30pm
  • 5 shifts per week at 8 hours per shift
  • Patient care provided directly in patients' homes
  • Interdisciplinary team collaboration with Home Health and Hospice Manager oversight
Requirements
  • Current Occupational Therapist license (required if applicable)
  • Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy curriculum
  • Eligible for the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Proof of auto insurance required
  • Must have own vehicle for home visits
  • Knowledge of physical disability and rehabilitation procedures, mental health concepts, and geriatric care preferred
Additional Information
  • Evaluate patients' functional status and interpret and implement physician's plan of care
  • Complete assessments and reassessments based on objective tests and measurements
  • Communicate treatment plans and observations with interdisciplinary team through meetings and individual coordination
  • Provide education and direction to patients and coworkers
  • Document all communications, coordination, and treatment activities accurately and concisely
  • Adapt to emergency situations and monitor changes in patient condition
  • Work with elderly, long-term care, and home health/hospice populations
  • CRASE training required if assignment extends beyond 6 months
