Work Environment

As a remote position, this job allows for exceptional flexibility while working directly with schools to provide vital mental health services. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' mental health to identify issues such as trauma, anxiety, and depression.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans using evidence-based interventions to enhance student well-being.

• Maintain meticulous clinical records, ensuring compliance with confidentiality regulations and state laws.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team, including educators and school counselors, to provide holistic care.

• Educate and support students and their families through outreach and community resources, strengthening key support networks.

• Stay informed about the latest developments in mental health research and best practices to continually improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on students from diverse backgrounds facing a variety of challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and the aftermath of trauma. Our practice emphasizes cultural competence and sensitivity, tailoring our services to meet the unique needs of each student.

Qualifications

• A valid LCSW license in the state of Virginia is required to practice.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is mandatory.

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a related field is essential.

• Strong proficiency in solution-focused and trauma-informed therapy techniques.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build meaningful relationships with clients and colleagues.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills to navigate complex case scenarios.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in school settings or with adolescent populations is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with telehealth practices and tools is beneficial.

• Prior training in specific therapeutic modalities (e.g., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy) will be considered an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits
