Job description

Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Behavioral Health at Temah Healthcare Services

Seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our interdisciplinary behavioral health team. Under the leadership of our CEO and Founder, Dr. Teniola, the Nurse Practitioner will provide trauma-informed and integrated behavioral health services to individuals within community and clinical settings.

This role is ideal for a provider passionate about holistic, community-based care and improving access to mental health services within the public health system.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and psychiatric assessments
  • Perform risk assessments and crisis intervention
  • Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
  • Provide medication management and follow-up care as appropriate
  • Collaborate with peer specialists, case managers, and behavioral health professionals
  • Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Participate in community-based outreach and public health initiatives
  • Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment plans
  • Ensure compliance with all state regulations and clinical standards
Qualifications
  • Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Maryland
  • Current unrestricted license to practice
  • Experience in behavioral health, psychiatric care, or community health
  • Experience with trauma-informed or integrated care models preferred
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
