Ground Market is a community gathering place in the heart of Carlton, Oregon, in the Willamette Valley-bringing together a wood-fired pizza and ice cream shop alongside a market and farmstand rooted in the region's agricultural abundance. The space is warm, lively, and welcoming, inviting locals and visitors to connect over simple, good food.

Job Summary:
Keep the heart of the kitchen running smoothly by maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient dish station. The Dishwasher at Ground Market supports both the wood-fired kitchen and service team by ensuring all cookware, tools, and serviceware are clean, stocked, and ready for use in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, sheet pans, and kitchen equipment in a timely and organized manner
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish area, kitchen, and storage spaces
  • Keep up with the flow of service to ensure the kitchen has the tools it needs at all times
  • Assist with basic kitchen prep tasks, including food preparation and pantry support, as directed
  • Support front-of-house as needed, including occasional table bussing and maintaining dining areas
  • Assist with general cleaning tasks throughout the kitchen, including floors, surfaces, and equipment
  • Remove trash, compost, and recycling and transport to appropriate receptacles
  • Support the team with additional tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly

Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to work efficiently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Team-oriented mindset and willingness to jump in where needed
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
