Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Systems Administrator to support a mission-focused government program delivering secure communications and network services for the Department of Defense through DISA. This position is on-site at Fort Meade, MD. The Network Systems Administrator will support a mission-critical IP messaging and communications transport network, ensuring reliability, security, and performance across enterprise systems. This role is critical to maintaining secure, resilient communication capabilities for national defense operations. Responsibilities for the Network Systems Administrator include: * Provide network integration, testing, security engineering, and configuration support across enterprise systems
* Collaborate with architects to maintain and improve STIG-compliant baselines and configuration management processes
* Perform system performance tuning, enhancements, and continuous service improvement (CSI) initiatives
* Support incident escalation, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem management activities
* Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, IPS, and load balancers
Required Qualifications for the Network Systems Administrator include: * 4+ years of experience engineering and troubleshooting enterprise networks (routing, switching, and security)
* Hands-on experience with technologies such as MPLS, VPNs, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, VoIP, multicast, and Cisco networking devices
* Strong knowledge of network architecture, defense-in-depth principles, IP addressing, and security best practices
* Bachelor's degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
* Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
