Ansell is looking for a Sr. Manager, NA Domestic Transportation to join our team in Iselin, NJ!

In this position you will play a vital role in overseeing domestic transportation operations across North America through a network of 4PL, 3PL, and carrier partners. Reporting to the Associate Director of Logistics, this leader will drive operational excellence, transportation performance, cost optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring exceptional service to customers. The role combines transportation operations, carrier management, freight payment oversight, analytics, and team leadership to deliver efficient, compliant, and scalable logistics solutions. What your role will be?

Transportation Operations & Logistics Leadership

  • Lead all aspects of North American domestic transportation operations to ensure safe, timely, compliant, and cost-effective delivery performance.

  • Manage relationships and performance of 4PL, 3PL, and carrier partners, driving accountability against service and cost objectives.

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for transportation issues, including delivery disruptions, damages, service failures, and carrier exceptions.

  • Ensure transportation activities align with customer requirements, carrier commitments, and organizational objectives.

  • Provide regular operational updates and performance insights to senior leadership.

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams and the Logistics Center of Excellence to optimize transportation processes and standard operating procedures.

  • Lead implementation and enhancement of transportation technologies, automation tools, and digital logistics solutions.

  • Develop scalable processes that support business growth and improve customer experience.

  • Support internal and external audits by ensuring transportation documentation and compliance requirements are maintained.

Transportation Management Systems (TMS)

  • Oversee optimization and effective utilization of Transportation Management Systems (TMS).

  • Partner with logistics providers and internal stakeholders to improve system functionality, visibility, and performance.

  • Identify system gaps, troubleshoot issues, and drive resolution with vendors and technical teams.

  • Leverage transportation technology and analytics to improve routing, service performance, and cost efficiency.

Strategic Sourcing & Carrier Management

  • Co-lead transportation sourcing initiatives and carrier Request for Proposal (RFP) processes.

  • Evaluate transportation providers based on cost, service performance, capacity, technology, compliance, and operational fit.

  • Participate in carrier selection, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management.

  • Support contract review and governance processes to ensure compliance with organizational policies and business objectives.

Freight Payment & Audit Oversight

  • Own the relationship with third-party freight payment and audit providers.

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of freight invoices and transportation payments.

  • Monitor freight audit processes and ensure compliance with contractual agreements and internal controls.

  • Resolve freight payment discrepancies, billing issues, and carrier disputes.

  • Drive process improvements that improve payment accuracy and reduce transportation spend.

Analytics, Reporting & Performance Management

  • Develop, monitor, and report key transportation and logistics performance metrics.

  • Analyze transportation data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives.

  • Build KPI dashboards, benchmarking tools, and reporting processes that support business decision-making.

  • Translate operational data into actionable recommendations that improve performance and service levels.

  • Support ad hoc analysis and strategic projects across the supply chain organization.

  • People Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing transportation team.

  • Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and development plans.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus.

  • Mentor team members and build organizational capabilities within the logistics function.

What will you bring to Ansell?

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, or a related field.

  • 10 years of transportation and logistics experience, including management of 3PL and/or 4PL partners.

  • 5 years of direct experience within North American domestic transportation operations.

  • Strong knowledge of transportation compliance, carrier management, freight payment, and transportation optimization.

  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and logistics technology platforms.

  • Proven success leading teams, managing vendors, and delivering operational improvements.

  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Travel Up to 20% travel annually.
