Job description

Looking for a FT Transporation Driver

Transport Driver Job Description ย 

Job Duties: ย 

Schedules and confirms patient appointments. Reviews patient information prior toย  appointment in order to determine patient needs. Verify with nursing staff if there areย  questions.ย ย 

Implementing customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing andย  determining patient transportation system improvementsย ย 

Informs family members of patient appointments upon requestย ย 

Stay with patient at appointments to provide assistance upon requestย ย 

Post appointments daily for staff and patients at least one day prior to appointment. Beย  available to answer questions regarding the appointment.ย ย 

Enter orders for appointment and transportation and retrieves/sends diagnostic labsย  needed for appointmentย ย 

Determines best route to and from appointments prior to the departing time, along withย  equipment required to load and unload patientย ย 

Keeps equipment operating by establishing and enforcing operating and preventiveย  maintenance rules; arranging for repairs, oil changes, etc.ย ย 

Provide and troubleshoot medical equipment needed for a patient transport, such as, butย  not limited to; O2, wheelchairs, gurneys, IVsย ย 

Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, andย  enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulationsย ย 

Must possess a valid Arizona license and maintain a clean driving recordย 

Requirements of the Job: ย 

Must be able to stand, walk, stoop and crouch repetitivelyย ย 

Must be able to push a minimum of 200lbs for a long distanceย ย 

Must be able to lift bulky heavy items up to 100lbsย ย 

Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver licenceย ย 

Must possess and maintain a clean driving recordย ย 

Must be able to speak, read and write the English languageย ย
