The Oxford Hills School District is seeking excellent qualified candidates for the position of Van Driver to support in and out of district transportation.
Must be 21 years of age, hold a valid drivers license, be able to pass BMV- required check of driving history, be able to pass a state of Maine DOE criminal history record check with fingerprinting.
Performance Responsibilities:
  • Safely transport students.
  • Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report defects.
  • Keep the van clean and maintained.
  • Ensure students are discharged only at authorized stops.
  • Supervise student behavior and enforce district rules.
  • Report vehicle damage and complete accident reports when necessary.
  • Follow all Maine traffic laws and safe driving practices.
  • Refer transportation changes requested by parents to the Transportation Director.
  • Ensure the vehicle is secure and empty when unattended.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
