Full-Time | 4-Day Workweek | Sunday–Wednesday | 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
$30–$40/hr Depending on Experience

Transport Refrigeration Services, Inc. is hiring an experienced Reefer Technician / Transport Refrigeration Technician to join our Fort Wayne team. If you have experience working on mobile refrigeration units, trailer reefer systems, diesel-powered refrigeration equipment, or APUs, this is an opportunity to grow your career with a stable company offering strong pay, benefits, and work-life balance.

We are looking for technicians experienced with diagnosing and repairing Thermo King, Carrier, and mobile refrigeration systems used on trucks and trailers.


What You’ll Work On
  • Transport refrigeration units (reefers)
  • Trailer refrigeration systems
  • APUs and diesel-powered auxiliary equipment
  • Truck and trailer HVAC systems
  • Electrical diagnostics and preventative maintenance
  • DOT inspections, brakes, suspension, and trailer repairs

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair reefer units and transport refrigeration systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, reefers, and APUs
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems and refrigeration components
  • Complete DOT/FHWA inspections
  • Perform brake, suspension, and trailer repairs
  • Handle tire repairs and replacements as needed
  • Complete road service calls when required
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of reefer or transport refrigeration experience preferred
  • Experience with Thermo King and/or Carrier refrigeration units preferred
  • EPA 608 Certification strongly preferred (Type II or Universal)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must own basic technician tools/toolbox
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and on a team
