About the Role:

The Transport Coordinator plays a critical role in managing and optimizing the transportation operations within the organization to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services. This position involves coordinating schedules, routes, and resources to maximize efficiency while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards. The Transport Coordinator acts as a liaison between drivers, clients, and management to facilitate clear communication and resolve any logistical issues that arise. By analyzing transportation data and performance metrics, the coordinator identifies opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions. Ultimately, this role ensures that transportation activities align with the company’s operational goals and customer satisfaction standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in transportation coordination, logistics, or supply chain operations.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards applicable in the United States.
  • Proficiency in transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with route optimization software and GPS tracking systems.
  • Familiarity with freight and shipping documentation and customs regulations.

  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers as needed to support transportation requirements.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies or unexpected disruptions in transportation schedules and implement contingency plans.
