Job Purpose
This role involves managing student transportation needs across the Washington Latin PCS LEA, including driving school vehicles and ensuring timely and safe transport.
Additionally, the individual will be responsible for assisting with the supervision of lunch, recess, and break periods at 2nd Street, maintaining a positive and orderly environment during these times. The position also includes providing a structured and quiet space for student academic work and reflection for instances of in-school-suspension at 2nd Street, ensuring that suspended students remain engaged and follow school policies. The position also provides support to the Athletics Department, with the Transportation Associate/Campus Support Aide will be a versatile team member, ready to assist wherever there is a need, contributing to the overall safety, efficiency, and supportive atmosphere of the school.
Professional obligations to STUDENTS:
  • Ensure Safety: Maintain a safe environment for students, both physically and emotionally, during all school activities.
  • Promote Learning: Support and encourage student learning as much as possible. Ensure that students in in-school suspension complete their assignments and offer encouragement and support to help them stay engaged with their education in every capacity.
