SKBA Interpreter/Translator Job Description:

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Utilize knowledge of Korean and English languages to help, support, and promote SKBA's growth and operations by actively overcoming language barriers among disparate language groups campus-wide (any/all production units, processes, facilities, and teams) including but not limited to; SamKoo, SKPT, partner companies, vendors, production team, tech team, management, business travelers, expatriates, employee relations, and others.
  • Carry out interpreting tasks in spoken language and translating tasks in written language abiding by the employee handbook and interpreter/translators guide for applicable trainings, educational materials, meetings, floor operations/projects/activities, work instructions/reports, and interviews according to the scheduled and/or ad-hoc requests in a timely and professional manner both virtually and in-person.
  • Maintain necessary activity logs and reports while adjusting to evolving project/schedule requirements.
  • Train newly hired SKBA interpreters/translators.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in both Korean and English languages

  • At least 1 year of professional interpreter/translator experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to understand, explain, and overcome cultural differences and practices to facilitate efficient work
  • Legal authorization to work in the US for any employer.

  • Flexibility to adjust to evolving schedules and work as needed.
