Job description

We are seeking an Associate Scientist, Flow Cytometry to join IQVIA Laboratories in Valencia, CA.

As an Associate Scientist in Flow Cytometry, you will perform regulated laboratory testing, generate highquality analytical data, and support continuous improvement across laboratory operations.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Perform flow cytometry testing and analytical procedures in alignment with SOPs and regulatory requirements.

  • Analyze data, verify accuracy, and escalate atypical or outoftolerance results to senior staff.

  • Prepare and upload analytical data into LIMS systems under senior guidance.

  • Support quality investigations, deviations, and corrective or preventive actions.

  • Prepare buffers, reagents, and solutions required for laboratory workflows.

  • Perform and document calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.

  • Train and guide entrylevel staff on routine laboratory procedures and onboarding tasks.

  • Communicate clearly with crossfunctional teams and participate in assigned project work.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in a biological, chemical, or related scientific field; master's degree preferred.

  • Experience in a regulated laboratory environment and handson flow cytometry experience preferred.

  • Proficiency with core laboratory techniques such as pipetting, reagent preparation, and analytical calculations.

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed for This Role:

  • Knowledge of GLP, laboratory safety, infection control, hazardous chemical handling, and standard laboratory practices.

  • Ability to operate specialized laboratory equipment, perform routine and nonroutine calculations, and follow detailed SOPs.

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, multitasking ability, and effective collaboration with crossfunctional stakeholders.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $41,400.00 - $86,100.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
