Data Scientist Position Summary

We are seeking a Data Scientist to partner with business stakeholders and develop data-driven solutions that address complex business challenges. This role combines handsโ€‘on model development with strong business acumen, requiring the ability to translate business needs into actionable analytics, predictive models, and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify business challenges and develop data science solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into analytical frameworks and predictive models.
  • Build, test, validate, and optimize machine learning and statistical models.
  • Deliver insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Develop personalization, recommendation, forecasting, and optimization solutions.
  • Support model deployment and ongoing performance monitoring.
  • Spend approximately 70% of time on analytics and business partnering and 30% on model development, testing, and refinement.
Required Qualifications
  • Proven ability to translate business challenges into practical data science solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence decisions using data-driven recommendations.
  • Experience building predictive models, including:
    • Collaborative filtering and recommendation engines
    • Personalization models
    • Uplift modeling
    • Forecasting
    • Optimization techniques (linear and dynamic programming)
  • Handsโ€‘on experience with:
    • Python
    • SQL
    • Spark
    • Databricks
    • Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
    • SQL data warehouses
  • Ability to clearly explain past projects, business problems addressed, analytical approach, and measurable outcomes.
