Key responsibilities

  • Conduct user interviews and research to uncover needs, motivations, and pain points across new target segments.

Job description

About NAVER U.Hub
NAVER U.Hub is the U.S. subsidiary of NAVER, a global internet technology company based in Los Angeles with offices in Seattle and Redwood City. Our teams across NAVER Search US, BAND, ThingsBook, and NAVER Ventures collaborate to advance AI, social media, and investment initiatives that build smarter and more connected experiences for global users.
About the Role
BAND, a leading group communication platform, is looking for a Product Marketing & Content Specialist who can turn user and product insight into messaging, content, and campaigns that help BAND grow into new segments—including faith communities, workplaces, franchise operators, and sports organizations.
You'll be the connective tissue between what users actually need and how BAND talks about itself. You will independently conduct user and product research, uncover insight, and translate it into positioning, content, and campaigns—taking the work from a user interview all the way to a published, campaign-ready asset.
You'll go where the data doesn't reach yet—talking directly to people outside BAND's current user base to uncover needs research alone can't surface, and turning that into a clear point of view on how BAND's product should evolve against the competitive landscape.
This role sits at the intersection of product marketing, user insight, and content, requiring someone who is equally comfortable digging into research and shipping polished, publish-ready work.
Key Responsibilities
Product & User Insight

  • Conduct user interviews and research to uncover needs, motivations, and pain points across new target segments.
  • Synthesize user and product insights into clear takeaways for marketing, product, and partnership teams.
  • Identify product gaps, use cases, and value propositions based on direct user feedback.
  • Define user personas and segment-specific insights to guide messaging and go-to-market decisions.
  • Directly reach out to potential users in new verticals who are not yet on BAND to understand their needs, workflows, and pain points.
  • Combine direct outreach, user research, and competitive landscape analysis to form a complete picture of unmet needs in each vertical.
  • Translate that combined insight into sharp, specific product feature recommendations—clearly articulating how BAND should evolve relative to competitors to win each segment.

Messaging & Positioning
  • Conduct competitive research to inform messaging, positioning, and differentiation strategies across segments.
  • Develop messaging and positioning for new target segments based on user and product insight.
  • Translate product capabilities into clear, differentiated value propositions for each segment.
  • Ensure messaging consistency across content, campaigns, and partner-facing materials.

User Relationships & Testimonials
  • Build and maintain relationships with users, advocates, and community members to source stories and feedback.
  • Turn user interviews and interactions into testimonials, case studies, and proof points.
  • Develop and manage programs that encourage ongoing user participation and feedback.

Content Development
  • Plan and produce content (guides, case studies, social, email, web) that reflects user and product insight.
  • Translate product capabilities and user stories into marketing assets across owned, earned, and paid channels.
  • Maintain a content repository of user stories, testimonials, and insights for reuse across teams.

Lifecycle Communication & Growth
  • Design and execute in-app and lifecycle communications (onboarding prompts, activation nudges, retention messaging) aligned to each stage of the user funnel.
  • Identify funnel drop-off points and develop targeted messaging or promotions to improve conversion and retention.
  • Partner with product and growth teams to track the impact of communications on core metrics and iterate based on results.

Marketing Campaign Execution
  • Execute marketing campaigns that bring product and user insight to life across channels.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to launch and optimize campaigns.
  • Track campaign and content performance, using insights and user feedback to refine future work.

Cross-Team Collaboration
  • Collaborate with internal teams and contribute to shared projects, including but not limited to conference attendance, content creation, customer demos and support, and other initiatives that support overall growth efforts.
  • Ensure marketing programs align with the overall growth strategy and campaign objectives.
  • This position requires travel.

What Success Looks Like
  • Clear, validated user and product insights that inform go-to-market decisions for new segments
  • Messaging and positioning that resonates with target users and differentiates BAND
  • A steady pipeline of user testimonials, stories, and proof points supporting marketing efforts
  • Content and campaigns that translate insight into measurable engagement and adoption
  • Strong, ongoing user relationships that fuel content and product understanding
Skills & Qualifications
  • 3-6 years of experience in product marketing, content marketing, or user research
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills paired with creativity and intellectual curiosity-someone who digs past the obvious and surfaces genuinely useful insight.
  • High attention to detail across research, messaging, and content.
  • Proven ability to conduct user research and translate findings into messaging, positioning, or content
  • Experience producing marketing content across formats (case studies, guides, social, email, web)
  • Comfortable building direct relationships with users to source testimonials and stories
  • Experience executing marketing campaigns end-to-end, not just planning them
  • Ability to translate product capabilities into clear, differentiated value propositions
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills
  • Experience with community-driven, marketplace, or network-effect products preferred
  • High ownership mindset-comfortable moving from insight to execution independently
  • Strong communicator, both in writing and in person-able to translate complex insight into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborative team player who works effectively across product, growth, and partnership teams.
Other
  • Job type: Full-time
  • Hybrid (Los Angeles, CA)
  • Pay: $64,000 - $80,000 per year
  • Candidates who pass the initial HR screening will be invited to complete a brief take-home assignment.
  • Please note: To be eligible, applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Sponsorship for employment visa status is unavailable.
