As a valued member of the interdisciplinary hospice team, the Chaplain ensures patients and loved ones receive a smooth, supportive, and dignified experience by addressing their spiritual needs, honoring Jewish traditions and beliefs, and promoting comfort, hope, and peace throughout the end-of-life journey.
The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of the emotional effects of death, grief, and loss, and will have the ability to be open, flexible, and ecumenical in ministry. This position requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to the terminally ill for effective interaction with patients and families.
