What is a transit supervisor?

Transit Supervisors are professionals responsible for overseeing the daily operations of public transportation systems, such as buses or trains. They ensure schedules are maintained, manage driver assignments, and address any service disruptions or customer issues that arise. Transit Supervisors also coordinate with drivers and dispatchers to maintain safety and efficiency, and may be involved in training staff or handling emergency situations. Their role is essential for keeping public transit systems reliable and running smoothly.

What skills and qualifications are needed to be a transit supervisor?

To thrive as a Transit Supervisor, you need strong knowledge of transit operations, scheduling, safety regulations, and typically a background in transportation or logistics management.
