Regional Sales Managers (Remote):
The Company

Schunk Carbon Technology, LLC is a manufacturer of systems and solutions used in a wide variety of mechanical, electrical, and thermal applications. Our US headquarters are based in Wisconsin. Schunk Carbon Technology is a part of the Schunk Group, a global company headquartered in Germany with over one billion euros in sales annually and diverse operations in 29 different countries.

The Opportunity

Schunk Carbon Technology is looking to expand our national sales force and has opportunities for motivated Regional Sales Managers who will be responsible for technical sales and business development in our existing transit market (electric rail) and the battery electric vehicle (BEV) market, supporting the BEV Business Development Manager. The candidates will work from a home office within or near the established territory.

Established Territory:
Main concentration of business will be in PA, NJ, NY, MA, MD, DE for one position opening.
Another position opening will be in the entire eastern half of the U.S. with the concentration being larger eastern cities and/or where OEMs of electric rail and battery electric vehicles are located.

Our electrified vehicle expertise and product offerings for the transit industry range from current collection (pantographs) and ground return systems on rail vehicles to charging systems for electric buses and other vehicles. The primary manufacturing is performed in Wisconsin. Typical customers include City Transit Authorities, OEM’s and other manufacturers of products related to mass transit and battery electric vehicles.

With support from our executive sales team and engineering staff our candidate will identify, develop, and negotiate sales opportunities and direct the preparation and submission of commercial and technical contract proposals for transit products. Actively pursue and manage the product testing and validation process, which can extend sales cycles to exceed one year. This position requires approximately 60% overnight travel including some possible foreign travel.

Prior experience in rail transit or similar industry or engineered products/components sales for high voltage applications is important as well as proven success in sales growth and new account generation. Education in an engineering field or business degree preferred.
