Job Description: The Over the Road Driver is responsible for long-haul transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. This role requires exceptional driving skills and the ability to manage logistics effectively. 

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities: 

Conduct Long-Haul Deliveries 

  • Transport goods across long distances while adhering to scheduled routes. 
  • Ensure that all cargo is secured properly for transit. 
  • Communicate with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays. 

Perform Vehicle Inspections 

  • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle. 
  • Report mechanical issues and schedule necessary repairs. 
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck. 

Manage Logs and Documentation 

  • Maintain accurate records of driving hours and cargo loads. 
  • Complete shipping and delivery paperwork accurately and promptly. 
  • Adhere to federal regulations regarding hours of service. 

Ensure Safety Compliance 

  • Follow all traffic laws and company safety protocols. 
  • Participate in ongoing safety training and assessments. 
  • Report accidents, incidents, or safety hazards immediately. 

Assist with Loading and Unloading 

  • Collaborate with team members to load and unload cargo safely. 
  • Operate necessary equipment for loading and unloading as needed. 
  • Monitor and report any issues during loading or unloading processes.
What You'll Bring

Qualifications: 

  • Valid Class A CDL and clean driving record. 
  • Minimum of 1 year of OTR driving experience. 
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations. 
  • Ability to operate various types of trailers and equipment. 
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Maintain visual awareness sufficient to safely operate tools and equipment
