Our client, a leading Montreal based cold weather apparel and accessories manufacturer, is looking for an Import Production Coordinator to join their growing team!!

Responsibilities:
  • Follow up on all production tasks from placing orders to factories
  • Deliveries
  • Following up on all sales confirmations
  • Making sure all sales orders supplied by customer service, orders are placed
  • Close relationship and communication with customer service
  • Close relationship and communication with China office
  • Replying to all daily emails, all communications overseas
  • Prepare in- transit files, validation of all wire payments- invoices to be paid to factories
  • Updating MPR daily on all your categories assigned you are responsible for
  • Meet all delivery timelines set by your Supervisor- Manager
  • Negotiate deliveries and prices to keep margin required
  • Instructions on all labelling, packaging requirements are given on a timely manner, following T & A
  • Getting Preproduction samples on time and approved to meet bookings, X vessel dates.
  • Meet all customer requests, photo samples, testing requirements, special packaging etc.
. Update and review T & A daily
  • Update if any revised ETA dates in ERP system
  • Follow up on all Sales Confirmations within 48 -72 hrs
  • Answer all communications daily from overseas suppliers.
  • Team performance , knowledge of all other categories and being a back up
  • Proactive in priorities given by your direct supervisor to perform workload efficiently within the working time frame

Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in import coordination
  • Strong knowledge of the import/export processes, and international shipping.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple shipments at once.
  • Proficiency in import software and tools, with strong Excel skills for tracking and reporting.
