Job description

About Throne

Throne is a fast growing Series B startup transforming public infrastructure by delivering clean, safe, smart restrooms to cities, transit agencies, and public spaces. With flagship customers like LA Metro, Caltrain, Berkeley, Ann Arbor, Beverly Hills and Washington DC, we're rapidly scaling and preparing for multi-city expansion in 2026 - 2027.

We recognize an unspoken problem: that better bathroom accommodations are sorely needed in most cities. Public and retail bathrooms are neither positioned to meet demand, nor incentivized to provide the quality experience people deserve.

Our mission is to provide peace of mind to the millions of people who set out on an adventure on any given day. That adventure may be big or small. It may involve taking your toddler to the park, driving a stranger to the airport, running a half marathon, or exploring a new city for the first time.

About the Job

Throne is looking for Operations Specialists (Cleaners) to join our team, reporting to the Seattle Operations Manager. As an Operations Specialist / Cleaner, you will contribute to the operations team's day-to-day success by keeping Thrones in a clean and well-maintained condition and performing a variety of tasks in the field and warehouse. Specialists typically work 4-5 hour shifts between the hours of 6am and 9pm.

The hourly rate for this position starts at $20.00. Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's applicable experience, skills, and geographic location. Full-time roles are also eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including stock options.

What you'll do:
  • Create a great experience for Throne users by keeping units clean, stocked, and well maintained
  • Visit Thrones to inspect and troubleshoot user-reported issues
  • Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on-site
  • Help track, monitor, and organize inventory (cleaning supplies, tools, parts)
  • Keep common warehouse space clean and organized
  • Diligently document work performed using mobile applications
  • Effectively communicate and work with all local operations teammates
  • Share feedback and ideas for product and process improvements
  • Safely drives & operates company vehicles (where applicable)
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to report issues clearly and coordinate effectively with the operations team.
  • Strong adherence to safety protocols, ensuring the safe handling and disposal of waste materials.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting
  • Comfortable working in outdoor/public environments and interacting positively with users
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Must be 18 years or older with at least two years of driving experience
  • A smartphone with data/internet access, and able to multitask with several mobile apps
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior cleaning experience, or prior experience in the portable sanitation industry
Benefits:
  • Medical Insurance, including plan options with 100% employer-paid premiums
  • Dental Insurance
  • Vision Insurance
  • Meaningful Series B Equity
  • 401(k) Plan
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and National Discounts
  • Paid Sick Leave
  • Short and Long-Term Disability Insurance
  • Life, Dependent Life, and AD&D Insurance
  • Employer-Paid Basic Life Insurance
  • Worker's Compensation Coverage
  • Legal Insurance

Benefits offered to full-time and part-time employees may vary by State.
