3rd Shift Bus Cleaner

Department: Coach Fleet Maintenance

Location: New Britain, CT

Salary: $21.5 - $26 Per Hour

DATTCO has an opening for a Bus Cleaner at our New Britain, CT location.

The work schedule is Thursday through Monday from 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM. The scheduled days off are Tuesday and Wednesday. The schedule is subject to change depending on demand.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and clean all luggage storage bays, overhead passenger storage areas, windows, and floors

  • Empty trash receptacles and trash from interior of vehicle

  • Brush and vacuum as needed

  • Sanitize floors and fixtures

  • Clean exterior of vehicle

  • Fuels buses as needed

  • Understand OSHA safety rules and promotes a safe work environment

  • Ability to move and park different types of buses

Minimum Requirements:

  • Stamina to work a physical job that requires hard and detailed work in a fast paced environment.

  • Valid CT driver-s license.

  • Reliable transportation to and from work.

  • 18+ years old.

  • Must be able to pass an in-yard driving test of all vehicles.

  • Must be able to maneuver large vehicles including double decker-s around facility.

  • Operate fuel pump.

  • Pass a Human Performance Examination (HPE), physical exam, background investigation and drug test prior to hire.

  • May require overtime.

  • ATTENTION: This is a safety sensitive position as determined by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and requires inclusion in a random drug testing pool which determines the usage of prohibited substances, including recreational marijuana.
