Role: Quality Electrical Test Technician
  • Test and troubleshoot electrical control cabinets
  • Inspect control wiring
  • Inspect and program transformer monitors
  • Assist in troubleshooting and repair of testing equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret complex control wiring diagrams, component monitoring manuals, troubleshoot and correct any related problems
  • Possess the skills necessary to analyze data and implement corrective or preventative actions and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, output levels and accuracy of the quality testing process
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees, management and customer
  • Implement corrective/preventive actions

Requirements
Basic Requirements:
  • Knowledge of and skill to perform operations in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and statistics
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work within the WEG Code of Ethics & Values. (WEG Code of Ethics, 4th Edition)
  • Able to work over-time as needed, including some weekends
  • Ability to safely use a ladder, work from heights (up to 16') and able to lift 40 lbs.
  • Resides or plans to reside within reasonable commuting distance - no relocation assistance available.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in basic English
  • Has current work authorization for employment in the United States
  • Must complete: Job interview, pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Safety Sensitive position: Drug panel includes THC

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technical degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology preferred
  • Post-Secondary Certificate or Associate's Degree
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • Experience with a variety of test equipment & systems
  • Experience in quality inspection and knowledge of Electrical testing
