Job description

A large public sector organization is preparing for a major Workday implementation covering the full Workday platform. Implementation is expected to begin in December and continue through 2028.

The organization is seeking a senior transformation leader to serve as a trusted advisor to the CIO. This individual will lead implementation readiness, establish strong governance, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure that business, technology, data, and organizational priorities remain aligned.

Type: Fulltime / Contract

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the CIO on program strategy, governance, and executive decision making
  • Lead organizational and operational readiness for the Workday implementation
  • Coordinate across IT, HR, Finance, Procurement, business leadership, and external partners
  • Establish decision rights, escalation processes, executive reporting, and accountability
  • Monitor milestones, risks, dependencies, resources, budgets, and organizational impacts
  • Serve as a senior liaison between leadership, internal teams, and the implementation partner
  • Ensure implementation decisions support the organization's long term operating model and technology strategy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Significant experience leading large enterprise technology or business transformation programs
  • Experience with ERP or cloud platform implementations, preferably Workday
  • Strong background in program governance, organizational readiness, change management, and executive engagement
  • Experience within government, public sector, or similarly complex organizations
  • Ability to operate as a trusted advisor to a CIO and influence senior stakeholders
  • Strong judgment, diplomacy, communication, and problem-solving skills
