Job Description

As a Corporate Tax Manager, you will be a key member of our Corporate Tax Solutions practice. You’ll lead business income tax planning, compliance, and ASC 740 tax provision projects while serving as a primary point of contact for multiple client engagements. With a collaborative team environment, access to leading technology, and support from senior leaders and specialists (including our Washington National Tax Office), this role is designed to empower you from day one.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage tax engagements end-to-end, from planning through delivery and follow-up.

  • Supervise, mentor, and review work of associates and senior associates, contributing to their professional development.

  • Conduct and review ASC 740 income tax provision work and support audits as needed.

  • Oversee preparation and review of federal and state corporate income tax returns.

  • Advise clients on tax planning, compliance, and regulatory changes.

  • Participate in client proposal meetings and identify opportunities to expand services.

  • Conduct research and analysis on various tax issues, and respond to inquiries from IRS and state authorities.

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality service.

  • Regularly attend training and development sessions to stay current on tax laws and industry trends.

  • Adhere to professional standards and maintain client confidentiality at all times.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

  • Active CPA license or JD with an active law license.

  • Currently working at a manager level in a tax function.

  • 4–7 years of progressive experience in corporate income tax compliance and/or consulting.

  • Proven expertise in ASC 740 (Accounting for Income Taxes).

  • Willingness and ability to work onsite or at client locations a minimum of 2 days per week.


Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)
  • Public accounting experience.

  • Familiarity with OneSource Tax Provision software.

  • Strong understanding of tax compliance across multi-state jurisdictions, international tax, and transfer pricing.

  • Excellent client-facing, communication, and project management skills.
