Overview 


The Marine Expeditionary Force (MESF) Training Program Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) supports Maritime Expeditionary Security Group ONE (MESG ONE) Force Generation Professional Support Services at Naval Base Guam. MESG ONE develops and generates trained Maritime Expeditionary Security Force units for operational employment throughout the Navy's numbered fleets.


The MESF Training Program Management SME supports MESG ONE N7 in managing training and readiness programs for assigned Echelon V and VI units. The SME works with Training Officers, instructors, and training managers to evaluate unit and individual readiness, maintain readiness reporting, support deployment certification, oversee training pipelines, and identify opportunities to improve training execution throughout the Optimized Fleet Response Plan (OFRP).


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary conduit for information to Echelon V and VI Training Officers and provide recommendations regarding training policy, processes, tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs), instructional methods, and plans 
  • Support MESG ONE N7 in managing, reviewing, and updating training and readiness status for assigned Echelon V and VI Units of Action (UoAs) within the Expeditionary Reporting Assessment System (ERAS) 
  • Support Naval message development for readiness communications across command echelons 
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Representative (SMR) supporting deployment certification of Echelon V and VI units, evaluating command, unit, and individual readiness in coordination with MESG ONE N7 and MESTEU 
  • Provide quality assurance oversight of training pipelines for incoming Sailors and guidance to Echelon V N7 staff, instructors, and training managers 
  • Coordinate with Echelon V N7 personnel to validate scheduling and execution of ranges, facilities, equipment, and training opportunities supporting progression through each UoA's OFRP 
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual reports for MESG ONE N7 leadership addressing training performance, readiness gaps, and recommendations 
  • Analyze Naval Reserve manpower and Individual Augmentee assignments for premobilization training in support of Global Force Management (GFM) readiness production

Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of operational, training, and readiness experience involving warfare qualification 
  • Minimum 3 years of Readiness and Cost Reporting System (RCRP) and/or ERAS experience 
  • Experience preparing and delivering oral briefings and written communications for MESF leadership and organizations within the relevant community of interest
  • Proficiency with Advanced Skills Management 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite 

Desired

  • MESF experience 
  • Operational, training, and readiness experience within an expeditionary community
  • Fluency in the use of civilian and/or Government artificial intelligence (AI) assistance tools

Security Clearance

  • Must possess and maintain a SECRET clearance
