Job Description

The Hospitality Manager is responsible for creating a welcoming, engaging, and service-focused environment across campus dining operations. This role leads hospitality initiatives, supports daily front-of-house operations, develops team members, and helps foster a culture centered on exceptional customer service and student engagement.

The ideal candidate is an energetic and visible leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands hospitality at its core, and is passionate about building meaningful relationships with students, faculty, staff, and guests.

Job Responsibilities
  • Promote a culture of hospitality, professionalism, and exceptional customer service throughout campus dining operations.
  • Engage with students, faculty, staff, and guests to ensure a positive dining experience and address concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Supervise, coach, and support front-line dining staff while assisting with hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Lead by example through active floor presence and hands-on support during peak service periods.
  • Collaborate with culinary, marketing, and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery and successful hospitality initiatives.
  • Support student engagement efforts through themed events, campus programming, promotions, and relationship-building opportunities.
  • Monitor dining areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, presentation, and adherence to hospitality standards.
  • Review customer feedback and operational trends to identify opportunities to improve service and increase satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and university operational standards.
  • Assist in achieving operational goals while maintaining a positive and service-driven environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in hospitality, food service, hotel operations, campus dining, retail, or customer-facing management.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for hospitality, customer service, and relationship-building.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with hospitality or dining systems preferred.
