The Workforce Development Instructor delivers workforce training programs supporting craft professional development, qualification, certification, workforce readiness, and project execution across a range of disciplines. Instructors provide classroom, hands-on, field, and skills-based instruction on behalf of Workforce Services and support implementation of enterprise training initiatives across project locations. Instructors will regularly deploy to projects to facilitate training as required to support project mobilization and operations.
"This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership”   #LI-TH1 

• Deliver classroom and field-based instruction.
• Conduct practical demonstrations and skills assessments.
• Support NCCER training and certification programs.
• Facilitate workforce development and craft competency programs.
• Coordinate and schedule training events.
• Maintain training records and completion documentation.
• Support workforce qualification and competency initiatives.
• Provide feedback regarding training effectiveness and workforce readiness.
• Travel extensively to project sites to deliver training programs.
• Support workforce mobilization and project startup efforts.

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
   

• Knowledge of adult learning methods and instructional techniques.
• Ability to facilitate classroom, practical, and field-based training.
• Ability to evaluate participant competency and provide coaching.
• Understanding or awareness of union apprenticeships and training is preferred
• Knowledge of craft qualification and certification processes.
• Ability to adapt instruction to varying skill levels and learning styles.
• Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to travel extensively to support project execution.
• Ability to work independently in field environments.
• Bilingual English/Spanish capability preferred.
• Knowledge of Bechtel construction practices and workforce development programs preferred.

Electrical Instructor

• Significant industrial electrical installation experience.
• Experience supporting large industrial construction projects.
• Previous foreman, superintendent, lead craft professional, or training experience preferred.

NCCER / General Instructor

• Experience facilitating training across multiple construction trades.
• Experience administering NCCER training and assessments preferred.
