Shift: Evening/Night shift, 7:00pm - 7:00am with weekend and holiday rotation

Position reports to the Emergency Department Manager and Team Leader designee. Provide clerical support for initiation, organization and completion of patient๏ฟฝs medical record and unit functions. Greet and serve as a patient liaison to the Emergency Department upon patient arrival and their stay in the department. Handle all interdepartmental calls/ requests to coordinate admissions, transfers and discharges. Enter consultations timely and accurately to facilitate medical decision-making. Orient and train new employees in same role and cross training additional ancillary staff. Responsible for resolving a variety of questions, discrepancies, problems and inquiries within scope of responsibility. Provide patient support services based on department needs with support services. Plan, organize and direct all unit activities within the unit coordinator function.

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
